Network Engineer
Who we are looking for
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Junior Level Network Engineer to join our team in Burlington, MA. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in networking principles and be eager to learn and grow within our organization. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure the stability and security of our network infrastructure.
Why this role is important to us
The team you will be joining is a part of Charles River Development (or CRD), that became a part of State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, that was launched in 2019.
What you will be responsible for
• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of network systems.
• Implement and manage network security measures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.
• Support senior engineers as required
• What we value
• Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols.
• Proficiency in standard networking skills (e.g., routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Firewall and switch administration Nice to Have:
• Experience with Zscaler.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
• Data Center experience
• Education & Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant experience in the field.
• 1-2 years of experience in a networking role is required

Salary Range:
$70,000 - $115,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
